The book of Genesis, also called the book of Creation, describes the creation of the heavens and the earth. It gives an account of the prophets Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Joseph.
The author is thought to be Moses but there is reason to believe that he did not write this or anything in the present Bible.
